Introducing our botanical artist, Kiya Jackson!

As a small business, we are constantly evolving and thinking of ways to elevate our products and aesthetic. We were so happy to hire local and emerging talent...and someone within our family.

We come from a long line of creative minds and artisans, so it was an absolute joy being able to work with the very talented young artist.

We spent some time with Kiya and interviewed her for our blog.

How old are you? 16

How long have you been drawing? Since I was little but started to seriously get into it since Freshman year

Favorite thing to draw? I like to draw anything, but a lot of nature. I don't look at the object but just about everything I like to draw.

What is your future career? Drawing wouldn't be a career but a hobby but I want to go into Science. (AWESOME, KIYA) but I would also look into animation.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Still in school! and a Senior in College.

We are just so impressed with how professional and talented this young artist is. With her attention to detail, and how realistic her drawings are and her focus and love of science and art; Look out world, Kiya is a force to be reckoned with!

You can see her drawings and all of our new products at our first maker's market tomorrow, 4/30 at River City Marketplace at Southside Park in Downtown Sacramento. 10am-4pm.

You can check out more of her drawings on our labels, like this one:
